Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced that it has carried out an attack with medium-range ballistic missiles, Sayyid-2, with solid fuel, against targets in Israel.
According to a statement released today, the attack was described as part of the "Twelfth Wave of True Promise 3", a military operation undertaken by Iran in response to recent tensions with Israel. However, the claims about the attack have not yet been independently verified by credible international sources.
According to the IRGC statement, the Seyyil-2 missiles, which are described as "super-heavy" and long-range, were launched as part of a coordinated operation. The missiles, developed by Iran, are reported to have a range of 2,000 to 2,500 kilometers and can carry a warhead weighing over 500 kilograms.
Posts on Platform X also cite the Iranian Tasnim news agency, which has published a video showing the two-stage missile, highlighting its capacity to hit targets at great distances.
The IRGC has stated that this attack serves as a "message to Israel and its allies," suggesting that the use of the Seyyil-2 missile for the first time in an attack against Israel is a demonstration of Iran's military strength.
