Another threat from Iran. This time Tehran has decided to put missiles with a range of 4,000 km into operation, although two of them were destroyed before reaching their targets.

This is the first time that Iran has decided to use missiles with a range of 4 km, while former Supreme Leader Khamenei, killed in the American-Israeli attack, had ordered the use of missiles with a maximum range of 2 km.

Tehran considered hitting the base on Diego Garcia, but failed. One of the missiles was destroyed by an SM-3, WSJ reports, while the other missile failed in flight. Neither missile hit the base, but the very fact of launching missiles at this range overturns any previous assessment of Iranian missile capabilities.

Meanwhile, according to CBS, Donald Trump is reportedly considering the possibility of deploying ground forces to the Middle East. This information contradicts his previous statement, in which he said he had no intention of sending troops, adding that even if he had made such a decision, he would not announce it publicly.

The United States announced the lifting of some sanctions on Iranian oil, in an effort to mitigate the impact of the Iran war on global energy markets. Treasury Secretary Scott Besant announced the issuance of a limited, short-term license allowing the sale of Iranian oil that remains stranded on ships at sea.

At the same time, a former United States Air Force officer who defected to Iran is causing great concern among Western intelligence agencies, which fear that she could be one of Tehran's most powerful "secret weapons."
