The police have announced that they have launched an investigation against the director of the company that is carrying out works in the Port of Vlora, under the accusation of water pollution in this port.
"Immediately after the announcement of water pollution in the port of Vlora (a case made public and in some online media), the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Vlora Police Station carried out the necessary verifications to bring those responsible to justice.
For the case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the criminal proceedings began, for the criminal offense "Water pollution", for the citizen HM, 31 years old, director of the company that carries out construction works in the port of Vlora.
The Local Directorate of the Vlora Police appeals to citizens to report any similar case of environmental pollution, to contribute to the protection of the common natural wealth and to guarantee public health.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Vlora, for further actions", the police informs.
