Two Ukrainian security officials have been arrested on suspicion of plotting to kill Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskey, Kiev has said.
It is suspected that two Ukrainian officials received the order from Russia, foreign media write.
Ukraine's security service (SBU) has announced that it has uncovered a Russian plot to assassinate President Volodymyr Zelensky and other high-ranking Ukrainian officials.
"Two colonists of the Ukrainian government's defense unit have been arrested"
" They were part of a network of agents belonging to the Russian state security service (FSB) ," the SBU said.
They were said to have been looking for willing "executioners" among Zelensky's bodyguards who could take him hostage and kill him.
