Citizens have begun gathering in Skanderbeg Square, from where the march towards the Prime Minister's Office is expected to begin as part of the 32nd day of the civic protest.

This evening, protesters will march on the streets of Tirana with the main demand for the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama, while the revolt that began against the project in Zvërnec has now turned into a movement against the government and the entire old political class.

Today's rally takes place in a tense political climate, following clashes the day before in front of the Parliament, the arrest of several protesters, and continuous verbal attacks by Prime Minister Edi Rama and members of the government cabinet against the protest organizers.

On the eve of the march's launch, reactions have also come from the group of students who a few days ago unfurled the giant banner "Your end has come! Albania is not for sale" at the Polytechnic University building.

The students have ruled out any possibility of dialogue with the government, emphasizing that the protest does not require negotiations, but political change.

" We are a group of students who do not have specific demands. There is no dialogue like in 2018. This situation will only be resolved with the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama ," said one of them.

They have also taken over the symbolic action carried out a few days ago, when they placed stickers on MPs' cars, in protest of the fines that, according to them, were imposed on immigrants who came to Albania for the national protest.

" We organized the stickers ourselves, without anyone's support. We put them on the MPs' cars because immigrants were fined, while their cars remain parked in violation of the rules and are not punished ," declared one of the students.

Another student described her vision for what protesters call the "new Albania."

" The new Albania is an Albania without corruption, where you are free to speak, where you have equal opportunities and where justice works for citizens. This is why we are here and why we will not leave ," she said.

The students also indicated that their group was created spontaneously during the protests and already numbers around 50-60 young people, while the aim is for participation to expand in the coming days.

After gathering at Skanderbeg Square, the protesters are expected to begin their march towards the Prime Minister's Office, where another rally with speeches will take place, before continuing their usual route through the streets of the capital. Organizers have announced that the protest will continue until their main demand is met: the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a change in the political system.
