Lee Harvey Oswald was accused of assassinating the American leader, and the presidential commission that investigated the grim event, headed by Earl Warren, concluded that Oswald acted alone.
The Warren Commission's findings certainly convinced no one, and despite the many decades that have passed since Kennedy's assassination, the collective imagination continues to vibrate with theories, scenarios, and speculation about who was behind the infamous assassination plot.
In fact, an ABC News poll in 2003 found that 70% of American citizens believe that Kennedy's assassination was the result of a broader conspiracy, with conspiracy theories having come and gone since then.
The trajectory of the bullets was put under the microscope of analysts: who was the second alleged executioner, was it the CIA, was it the Cuban guerrillas for the Bay of Pigs incident, was it the KGB, was it Vice President Lyndon Johnson, was it the mafia, who is ultimately responsible for the murder that was heard all over the world?
Decades of investigations, hearings, documents, data, recordings and interviews have failed to satisfy the curiosity of journalists, researchers, analysts, historians and conspiracy theorists and provide a convincing answer as to whether Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
Those who suspect that Oswald single-handedly killed the president have accused 42 groups, identified 82 second (or even first!) assassins, and implicated 214 people in the grisly events. Paranoia has reached a red line in the dark case, no doubt.
With that in mind, let's take a brief look at the most prevalent theories surrounding the assassination of the American leader. Some seem plausible, others are unbelievable, and still others are simply too absurd to be seriously discussed...
The theory of the US Federal Reserve Bank
On June 4, 1963, President Kennedy signed an order giving the Secretary of the Treasury the authority to issue so-called “silver certificates,” a type of currency that circulated in the United States until 1964. The order (Executive Order 11110) was intended to act as a temporary measure in the government’s attempt to limit the amount of silver used in currency. Conspiracy theorists, however, see the presidential order as a shift of power from the Federal Reserve Bank to the Treasury Department, and according to their reasoning, the shadowy (and international, alas) circle of bankers who controlled the Federal Reserve were none too pleased with the “shortening” of its responsibilities. And so, using their untold power and unimaginable wealth, the bankers orchestrated Kennedy’s assassination…
Vice President Lyndon Johnson's Theory
According to the widespread scenario, at least two American presidents were involved in the Kennedy assassination! The first suspect was Lyndon Johnson, with his alleged involvement in the case remaining extremely popular (in a 2003 poll, 20% of Americans believed that Johnson was indeed involved in the assassination). As for Johnson's motives, they vary and have to do with his ambitions to become president, the attempt to cover up his wrongdoings, his role in the FBI and much more, always according to the dark subcategories of this particular theory. Even the idea that Johnson killed Kennedy in the service of big interests has been supported, since he himself would have better served the aspirations of America's wealthy. And of course, Kennedy's wife, Jackie, is said to have believed in Johnson's involvement in the presidential assassination...
UFO cover-up theory
As strange as it sounds, it is indeed a very popular conspiracy theory! According to the scenario, Kennedy was dismissed from office because he began to show a great interest in our extraterrestrial friends. The evidence here concerns Kennedy's famous letter to the CIA, in which he asked to see the secret files on extraterrestrial activity recorded by the American intelligence services, but also the memorandum from the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency, in which he claims that "as you should know, Lancer [President Kennedy's code name used by the intelligence services] has begun to investigate our activities, which we cannot allow". The CIA UFO files had begun in 1942 and it was the first time that a president had asked to see secret documents, so it was reasonable to kill him to get rid of his curiosity...
Mafia theory
Krahasuar me teoritë e tjera, kjo duket shumë më e besueshme. Sipas skenarit të dytë që përfshin një president amerikan në vrasjen e Kenedit, George Bush (babai) dyshohet se ka marrë pjesë në planin për të eliminuar presidentin duke përdorur lidhjet e tij si në CIA ashtu edhe në krimin e organizuar. Mbështetësit e teorisë përmendin si provë praninë e George Bush në Dallas ditën e vrasjes, përfshirjen e tij të gjatë dhe të errët në operacionet e CIA-s dhe lidhjet e familjes së tij me mafian. Skenari ka fituar vazhdimisht terren dhe mbështetje popullore gjatë dekadave, me teoricienët e konspiracionit që më vonë e zgjeruan atë duke konsideruar se Bush ishte i përfshirë si në Watergate ashtu edhe në marrëdhëniet e tensionuara SHBA-Iran!
Teoria e Iluminatit
Një tjetër teori konspirative interesante ka të bëjë me shoqërinë sekrete të Iluminatit, e cila duket se qëndron pas gjithçkaje që ndodh në Botë! Teoria ka të bëjë edhe me Bankën e Rezervës Federale, e cila drejtohej nga anëtarë të sektit okult dhe ishte e alarmuar nga fakti që Kennedy u përpoq të zvogëlonte pushtetin e tyre, si me dekretin që nxori ashtu edhe me qëllimin e tij për të ndaluar Luftën e Vietnamit, pasi konflikti i armatosur u solli bankierëve të errët (tani Iluminatit) shuma të mëdha parash. Dhe për t'i çuar gjërat në ekstrem, një version alternativ i teorisë pretendon se Kennedy ishte gjithashtu anëtar i tyre, me babanë e tij, Joe Kennedy, duke qenë një drejtues i lartë i organizatës sekrete "Illuminati Bloodline" dhe duke mbajtur (sigurisht) marrëdhënie me Mafian. Dhe sigurisht, ishte lidhja e Kennedy-ve me Iluminatin që e bëri John-in të ngrihej në detyrën më të lartë të Amerikës. Pra, si mund ta pranonin "Të Iluminuarit" që fëmija i mirë dhe i bindur tani po kthehej kundër tyre?
Teoria e KGB-së
Si është e mundur që gjatë Luftës së Ftohtë, armiku numër 1 i Amerikës nuk ishte i përfshirë? Bashkimi Sovjetik dhe KGB-ja në veçanti kishin çdo arsye për ta urryer Kenedin, që nga rezultati i turpshëm i Krizës Kubane të Raketave të vitit 1962! Snajperisti Lee Harvey Oswald kishte gjithashtu lidhje me Perden e Hekurt: gruaja e tij ishte ruse, ai kishte udhëtuar shpesh në Bashkim dhe thuhej se kishte mbajtur marrëdhënie me diplomatët rusë. Teoria e përfshirjes së Izraelit
A është e mundur që një nga shërbimet sekrete më efikase dhe të pamëshirshme në botë, Mossadi i frikshëm dhe i frikshëm, të mos ketë qenë i përfshirë në vrasjen e Kenedit? Teoria e CIA-s
Këtu po flasim për skenarin e skenarëve, atë që ka të bëjë me gjithçka tjetër dhe është i përfshirë me të gjitha teoritë që janë propozuar herë pas here! Është lidhja përfundimtare e teorive të konspiracionit, pika ku të gjitha kryqëzohen: qoftë Lyndon Johnson, apo Rezerva Federale, apo Mafia, apo UFO-t, apo Kuba, CIA futi dorën e saj të errët në këtë rast.
Si alternativë, zëvendësoni CIA-n me FBI-në ose Pentagonin dhe gjithçka përshtatet shumë mirë! Megjithatë, CIA kishte arsyet e veta për shkatërrimin e Kenedit: donte të hakmerrej ndaj presidentit për pushtimin e dështuar të Gjirit të Derrave, në të njëjtën kohë që kishte frikë nga dobësimi i saj i mundshëm (Kenedi e kishte vënë vëllain e tij, Bobin, të monitoronte nga afër aktivitetet e saj) dhe shumë gjëra të tjera, madje edhe për alienët mund ta nxirrte nga rruga, pasi gjithsesi vepron në mënyrë autonome dhe nuk i jep llogari askujt, gjithmonë sipas teorisë së konspiracionit.

The popular support for this particular theory is such that the CIA was forced to dedicate a special section on its official website denying the allegations! Of course, it blames the European left - but also the American press - for spreading the scenario of its involvement in the Kennedy assassination...
