Iran's Assembly of Experts building hit, Tel Aviv reports injuries and warns of more attacks...
The conflict between Israel and Iran is escalating with mutual air and missile attacks, as the region faces high security tension.
According to Iranian media, Israeli and American strikes hit a building in Qom, south of Tehran, which houses the Assembly of Experts, the body responsible for electing Iran's supreme leader. The Tasnim news agency reported that the building suffered extensive damage. There were no official reports of casualties.
At the same time, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Iran had launched several waves of rockets towards Israeli territory. According to the military, at least four waves of attacks have been recorded since noon on Tuesday alone. Alarm sirens were heard in the north and center of the country.
The Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom reported that seven people were injured in three areas in central Israel after one of the latest attacks. A woman in her 40s was moderately injured by the blast, while six others suffered minor injuries from shrapnel. The Israeli military said it was investigating whether submunitions were used.
Separately, the Israeli military announced that it had struck a “senior Iranian regime commander” in Tehran. According to the Times of Israel newspaper, citing Defense Ministry sources, the target of the attack was Davoud Alizadeh, commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps for Lebanon. Israeli authorities said they would release more details later.
The IDF also issued an urgent evacuation warning for residents in the Hakimiyeh industrial zone in Tehran and at Payam Airport in Karaj, announcing planned attacks on Iranian military infrastructure.
Meanwhile, the US Embassy in Riyadh warned of a possible drone threat over the Dhahran area, in eastern Saudi Arabia, and urged American citizens to avoid the consulate area.
The clashes are also affecting other countries in the region. Israel continues military operations in Lebanon and has ordered the evacuation of 59 villages, while the bombing of Beirut continues. Alarm sirens have also been reported in Bahrain and Kuwait. Qatar warned that Iranian attacks will not go unanswered.
Recent developments indicate an expansion of the conflict's dimensions, with the risk of wider regional involvement, as the parties continue military exchanges and public warnings. / Pamphlet
