The diplomatic thriller continues in the Middle East, where the war intensifies for the 28th day, as do contradictory statements from the US and Iran regarding the development of talks to end it.
For his part, US President Donald Trump insists that the Iranians are begging him for a deal, however, Tehran denies the talks, which Pakistan also confirmed yesterday.
In fact, Trump said the Iranians asked for a seven-day extension and he gave them ten.
However, the prevailing climate is also evident from the tense phone conversation between US Vice President JD Vance and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
During this, Vance rebuked Netanyahu for his overly optimistic predictions, Axios reports.
The US Vice President had a tense phone call with the Israeli Prime Minister.
"Before the war, Bibi (Netanyahu) sold it to the president as something easy, as a regime change much more likely than it was. And the vice president was clear about some of those statements," a US official told Axios.
Meanwhile, a Reuters report is causing concern, stating that a US intelligence report claims that only 1/3 of Iranian missile systems were destroyed or buried under rubble during the first wave of bombing on February 28.
At the same time, scenarios for a ground operation in Iran are intensifying, as international media are reporting that the US is sending 10,000 soldiers to the Middle East. At the same time, Iran and Israel are launching new, fierce attacks on each other.
Iran claims to be striking energy targets in Israel and the Persian Gulf, while earlier on Friday a new missile attack alert was issued in Beirut, where explosions were heard.
