Iran's UN representative says new supreme leader is in good health and leading country
Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran's new supreme leader, has not appeared in public for security reasons, said Ali Bahraini, Iran's representative to the United Nations office in Geneva.
According to Bahrain, Khamenei enjoys full health and continues to lead the country, despite his absence from public appearances.
"The reason for his absence in public is security-related, due to the current circumstances ," he said.
Mojtaba Khamenei has not been seen in public since last month, when his father, former supreme leader Ali Khamenei, was killed in a reported joint attack by the US and Israel.
