As the conflict between Ukraine and Moscow continues to escalate, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that they are working on a new meeting with Russia in Istanbul.
"We discussed the path of negotiations with the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, and the Head of the Cabinet, Andriy Yermak, in particular the implementation of the agreements reached during the meetings with the Russian side in Istanbul and the preparation of a new meeting ," he wrote on Telegram.
Zelensky added that one of the main issues is the exchange of prisoners of war. According to him, an exchange of 1,200 people has been agreed upon and work is underway on the lists.

Zelensky says that Yermak then reported on interactions with key partners supporting our diplomacy, especially contacts with the American side, and on efforts to return children who were abducted and taken to Russia.
