The conflict in Ukraine is far from being resolved. This is what the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergei Lavrov, said in an interview with the Russian media. The head of Russian diplomacy blamed the Americans and the Western countries for their intentions to cause Russia a strategic defeat.
"Judging by what is happening on the battlefield, we are still far from a political and diplomatic solution to the crisis. Washington and its satellites are still obsessed with the idea of inflicting a strategic defeat on Russia. To get closer to this illusory goal, they are ready to do a lot," Lavrov said.
Lavrov also reveals a part of the Russian plan for Ukraine, which should be demilitarized, to be a neutral country without nuclear weapons.
"A necessary element of the political solution to the conflict must be demilitarization and denazification, ensuring the non-aligned, neutral and non-nuclear status of the territories controlled by the Kiev regime. Of course, the condition for any agreement will be the recognition of the political and territorial realities provided for in the Russian Constitution," he added.
Meanwhile, Russian forces have managed to capture another village in eastern Ukraine, on their march to capture the town of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk region.
This was announced by the Ministry of Defense quoted by Russian agencies. Russian troops are advancing ever faster in eastern Ukraine and are said to have gained 235 square kilometers of land last week and more than 600 square kilometers in November. "The armed forces of Ukraine are under great pressure," German military experts emphasize.
Also, two people were injured as a result of the remains of Russian drones that fell during an attack in the Ukrainian capital Kiev, the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Telegram.
