French President Emmanuel Macron stressed on Sunday that wounded or sick Gazan children in need of urgent care could be treated in France if necessary.
In a message posted on X, Macron emphasizes that France is mobilizing all means at its disposal, mainly from the air, so that the children can be transported and treated in France.
The French president referred to the arrival at the beginning of the week in Egypt of the Dixmude helicopter, which has been converted into a floating hospital to treat serious cases and transport the wounded, if necessary, to hospitals.
Another French air force plane will also transport more than 10 tons of medical aid and two mobile medical units to treat 500 seriously injured each earlier in the week.
"Humanitarian aid must arrive as quickly and safely as possible. For this reason, we must achieve an immediate humanitarian pause that will lead to a ceasefire ," Macron wrote.
