Police are searching the businessman's property; the action is being led by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica
Police have surrounded the building in the center of Podgorica where businessman Aco Djukanovic resides, Montenegrin media outlet "Vijesti" reports.

In the same building, on Vuka Karadzic Street, there is also a branch of Prva Banka, owned by Djukanovic.
The action is being led by the Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica. Aco Djukanovic is the brother of former Prime Minister and President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic.

A part of "Vuka Karadzic" street has been closed to vehicle traffic.
The Center for Investigative Journalism of Montenegro (CIN-CG) announced in September 2023 that Aco Djukanovic had moved to Luxembourg immediately after the 2020 elections and that he had launched new business projects there.

According to previous media reports, his wealth is estimated at several hundred million euros.
"Vijesti" writes that Prva Banka is one of the former state-owned enterprises that passed into the ownership of Aco Djukanovic, during the privatization processes of previous years.
