The founder and leader of Italia Viva, Matteo Renzi, has joined the reactions to the death of Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away today at the age of 86.
" He made history in this country. Many loved him, many hated him: everyone today must admit that his influence on political, but also economic, sports and television life was unprecedented. Today Italy mourns together with his family, his loved ones, his companies and his party. To all who loved him, my dearest and most sincere hug. In these hours I carry with me the memories of our meetings, of our many councils, of our agreements, of our clashes. But above all a phone call in which Silvio, made me shed tears when talking about my mother. We will miss you, may the earth be easy on you ", writes Renzi in his message.
