Brazil's Supreme Court has ordered the suspension of Elon Musk's Platform X.
Judge Alexandre de Moraes notified the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) to shut down the social network throughout the territory of Brazil within a maximum of 24 hours. Companies like Apple and Google will have 5 days to remove App X from their online stores.
The decision comes after 'X' failed to meet a deadline set by a High Court judge to appoint a new legal representative in the country. Alexandre de Moraes ordered the "immediate and complete suspension" of the social media platform until it complies with all court orders and pays existing fines.
After this decision, Elon Musk said that "free speech is the foundation of democracy and an unelected pseudo-judge in Brazil is destroying it for political purposes."
