Israel's military campaign in Lebanon is expected to intensify soon, while the war with Iran could last at least another two weeks, according to estimates by Israeli security officials, quoted by the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper.
According to these sources, currently the "center of gravity" of operations remains Iran, but at the same time a significant escalation is expected on the northern front against Hezbollah.
Officials warn that the Iran-backed Shiite group will face “strong blows, which have so far been avoided.” They emphasize that the upcoming operation will be “very powerful” and aims to cause deep damage to Hezbollah’s missile and ballistic missile launch capabilities.
However, they admit that the aim is not to completely eliminate the group's arsenal, but to weaken it and push Hezbollah forces beyond the Litani River, which is considered a strategic security line for Israel.
Regarding the conflict with Iran, a political source stated that military operations are expected to last at least another two weeks, signaling a more protracted conflict than initially anticipated.
