Iran's Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, has warned Britain following recent military developments in the Middle East.
He criticized the approach of Britain and some European countries, which he described as one-sided towards US and Israeli actions against Iran.
According to him, any support for these actions would aggravate the situation and add to the complexity of the conflict.
Araghchi also reacted to the use of British military bases by American forces. He considered this as direct involvement in aggression and stressed that this will affect relations between the two countries in the future. At the same time, he underlined Iran's right to defend its sovereignty and independence.
“At the same time, we maintain our inherent right to defend the country's sovereignty and independence,” he said.
Earlier this month, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer approved the use of RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean for US defensive operations against Iranian missile targets.
Over the past two weeks, the activity of US military aircraft at Fairford base has increased with frequent landings and takeoffs.
