Russians continue to lay flowers for opposition leader Alexei Navalny, after his sudden death in an Arctic prison.

They risk arrest in a country where even the slightest disturbance can trigger police intervention.

Since Friday, over 400 people have been arrested, around 150 of whom have been given short-term prison terms.

Navalny's body continues to lie in the morgue near the remote prison, where he died after a long walk. His family and allies, who were denied entry, accuse Russian authorities of hiding the body. They state that President Putin should be held responsible for the death.

The death of the man considered the most vocal critic of the Kremlin has led to tributes being held around the world. In Britain, flowers were laid near the Russian embassy in London. One message said, "You can kill the man, but not the truth."

In Germany, several hundred people protested against the policies of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Berlin.

Shortly before the start of the demonstration, a musical group known for its anti-Putin approach launched its protest. Members of the group, disguised in pink masks, shouted slogans such as "Putin, the murderer" in front of the Russian embassy.
