In a touching and unusual moment during Russia's Unity Day ceremony, an 11-year-old girl stood before Vladimir Putin, expressing her concern for her uncle who was injured in the war with Ukraine and sought medical help.
The child approached Putin, telling him how her uncle had been wounded in the arm without being treated in hospital, before being sent back to fight.
The brave 11-year-old told Putin: “ My uncle is currently at the front, wounded in the arm. He was in the hospital, they weren’t treating him, and now they’re sending him on a mission, and I would like him to be transferred to a good hospital in Russia .”
A rather surprised Putin replied: " We'll find him, okay? " The 11-year-old then mentioned her uncle's name, with the Russian president telling her: " Thank you for thinking of him ."
