Moscow has warned Belgrade that there will be consequences if it imposes sanctions....
Russia has issued a very strong warning message to Belgrade. Vucic is trying to play with two gates, but Moscow should not think of imposing sanctions on him.
At a press conference, the spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry in Moscow, Maria Zaharova, made it clear that if Serbia agrees to impose sanctions on Russia, it would return to a slave state. He also warned him that there will be no help.
" If Serbia had agreed to impose sanctions on Russia, it would now be a slave state, deprived of the aid provided by Russia, including in the energy sector. In return, it would receive only new demands from the West, but no assistance. This is very important to understand. Many young people in Serbia have no painful memories of the bombings of Yugoslavia, as they did not survive them and cannot understand that situation.
They were born in another time and can learn about it only through books and history... They must understand that the West is now lying to them by making promises that will not be fulfilled, besides, they only make demands and turn into slaves ", declared the Russian diplomat.
Also, during the press conference, Zaharova accused the West of trying to topple Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic from power with the same scenario used in Ukraine in 2014.
" The efforts of the collective West to inflame the situation in the country, using the techniques of the 'Maidan-style coup d'état' are visible. The only possible reaction is to adhere to the letter and spirit of the country's Constitution and respect the election of to the Serbian people, who voted for the national interests of their country ," she added.
Serbia has been involved in numerous protests and Moscow has come out in support of Vučić. The opposition claims that the votes were stolen and every night there were massive protests in Belgrade./ Pamphlet
