Moscow warns of destabilization after Dodik's conviction, expert: What will

Austrian politician Gunther Fehlinger was in an interview with Euronews Albania this Thursday where he spoke about recent developments regarding politics in Europe and its impact on the Western Balkans.

He also commented on the decision to imprison and remove from office for 6 months the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, as well as Moscow's warning to destabilize the Balkans.

He said that such a thing is not expected to happen, as President Dodik has already received his sentence, and if he resorts to violence, he will end up in prison.

"We have been through a lot of problems and now Mr. Dodik has received his sentence. If he resorts to violence, he will end up in prison, so I do not believe there will be unrest. I also think that Moscow will not have much influence because Moscow is more under the influence of the EU. So if he uses extreme techniques, Dodik will be forced to go to prison, or perhaps to exile in Russia.

"We will see that the time of Russia's supporters in Eastern Europe has come, they will either change their approach or face justice," said the Austrian politician.
