The Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, declared that the plan of the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is failing.
Rutte gave the statement during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Prime Minister Edi Rama and other European officials.
Rutte said that Europe stands firmly for common security.
" The path that Ukraine has taken is the same that we have taken against Russia. Putin's plan is failing and with this aggression he remembered that he would fight us, but we know that we will stand firm for common security, with a defense on the eastern flank", he emphasized.
While the president of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda also spoke about the uprising of the Wagner militia group in Russia. He said that the fact that Prigozhin has taken refuge in Belarus is a great danger.
" The past few days we saw the uprisings of the Wagner group. If Russia puts such a killer in Belarus then we are in even greater danger. The new defense plans are of great importance to us ," said the President of Lithuania.
