Eerie blue-hued lights have reportedly been seen in the sky ahead of the devastating earthquake that killed more than 2,600 people two days ago in Morocco.
The British network The Sun writes that the unexplained event, which precedes and precedes other devastating earthquakes around the world, was continuously recorded by security cameras in Agadir, two to three minutes before the disaster.
Footage posted on the X Network shows streaks of blue light in the night sky on the left side of the screen.
A similar phenomenon was observed before the earthquake at the beginning of the year in Turkey where 45,000 people were killed, and even in Albania in 2019, according to videos on social networks.
The first images of such lights before earthquakes date back to 1965 in Japan, writes the daily The Jerusalem Post.
Mysterious blue lights have been observed in earthquakes in China in 2008, in Italy in 2009, and also in Mexico in 2017.
The cause of earthquake lights still remains a mystery, as alternative theories say they come from tools that can deliberately provoke the phenomena, or energy release events from the displacement of seismic plates, according to 'National Geographic', writes TheSun.
