Netanyahu 'threatens' Gaza: The war will end when these 3 conditions

At least 92 Palestinians have been killed and more than 200 others injured over the past two days as Israel intensifies its operations across the enclave.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his country has “no choice” but to continue fighting in Gaza. He also added that the war in the enclave will only end when three objectives are achieved: Destroying Hamas, releasing all hostages and ensuring that the enclave poses no threat to Israel in the future.

His comments came after at least 92 Palestinians were killed and more than 200 others wounded in the space of two days, according to the Gaza Health Ministry. Israeli troops have stepped up their attacks to pressure Hamas to release hostages and disarm.

Netanyahu is under increasing pressure in Israel not only from the hostages' families and their supporters, but also from Israeli reservists and retired soldiers, who question the continuation of the war after Israel broke a ceasefire last month.

In his statement, he claimed that Hamas has rejected Israel's latest proposal to release half of the hostages for a permanent ceasefire.

Since Israel ended the ceasefire – brokered by Qatar, Egypt and the United States – on March 18, Israeli attacks across Gaza have killed nearly 1,800 people and injured almost 4,700 others.

The death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 51,157, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, which does not distinguish between civilian and combat casualties. The UN says women and children made up more than two-thirds of all deaths it has been able to verify.
