The OSCE itself released the preliminary report today and declared that there were many irregularities. "Any attempt to manipulate the field of play is cause for concern and affects the result. Meanwhile, a strong reaction has also come from Brussels. The European Union expects Serbian authorities to transparently investigate credible reports of irregularities in the December 17 elections.
Through a joint statement to the media, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, and the Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, said that among the irregularities during the parliamentary, local and provincial elections in Serbia, those reported in the capital are also included. “We take into account the preliminary findings and conclusions of the international observers of the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe and the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights for the Serbian parliamentary elections. The two senior European officials called on the Serbian political leadership to ensure a constructive and inclusive dialogue across the political spectrum.
