Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that Albania is a friendly NATO ally, but also a country that will soon be part of the EU.
Regarding the Rama-Meloni pact, he added that we aim for a joint battle against human trafficking.
During the demonstration to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the death of the intellectual Anselmo Lorecchio, where the President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, was also present, Tajani emphasized that the agreement that foresees the creation of centers for immigrants in Albania is a very important project.
"There is an influx decree that provides for about half a million regular migrants, but we have to fight human traffickers who exploit people by saying that in Europe they will find heaven on earth when this is not the case.
We intend to fight this common battle because human traffickers, drug traffickers, arms traffickers and those who trafficked cigarettes are always the same. Criminal organizations that must be fought and defeated with international cooperation. Albania-Italy cooperation goes exactly in this direction", Tajani said during his speech.
