Ukrainian troops did not spare beehives, using them as a kind of weapon against Russian soldiers. The latter were hiding in a basement, while the footage shows two Ukrainian soldiers taking a beehive and throwing it inside the basement.
The video posted on the Telegram channel shows Ukrainian soldiers in what appears to be the ruins of a farm in the countryside in the east of the country.
The footage, apparently taken from a drone, shows them grabbing a wooden beehive and throwing it at the place where the Russian troops were hiding.
"After the Ukrainian army ran out of grenades, they threw several beehives at the shelter of Russian soldiers," the video's commentary says.
The unusual tactic was used near the town of Pokrovsk, where the two sides have continued to fight each other along the front line. Both Ukraine and Russia have had to improvise weapons and tactics as the conflict drags on.
The use of drones is one of the biggest developments on the battlefield. Last month, it was reported that the Ukrainians were using drones as improvised explosive devices.
