The troubles for Ukraine are not over after the diplomatic incident that took place in the Oval Office at the White House, where President Donald Trump and his deputy clashed sharply with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

Donald Trump has dealt another blow to his Ukrainian counterpart, ordering the US to stop sharing classified information with Kiev, in a move that could seriously harm the Ukrainian military's ability to target Russian forces, according to officials familiar with the matter.

The move follows the Trump administration's decision on Monday to suspend military aid deliveries to Ukraine and a dramatic deterioration in relations between the US president and Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky.

US intelligence cooperation has been essential to Ukraine's ability to identify and strike Russian military targets.

Three officials familiar with the decision confirmed that Washington has frozen intelligence channels with Kiev, the Financial Times reports.

The troubles for Ukraine are not over after the diplomatic incident that took place in the Oval Office at the White House, where President Donald Trump and his deputy clashed sharply with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.

Warnings that the US would not accept Zelensky's "ingratitude" for long seem to have lasted only a few hours, as the US president has made a decision that will likely change the course of the war if there is no swift response.

The White House recently confirmed that President Trump has just signed an order to halt US military aid to Ukraine, as the head of the White House has previously been criticized for the way it has been misused, with a large portion of the funds unknown where they ended up.

"The president has been clear that he is focused on peace. We need our partners to be committed to that goal as well. We are pausing and reviewing our assistance to make sure it is contributing to a solution," a White House official said.

The news was reported earlier by the American newspaper Bloomberg, which wrote that "the US is halting all current military aid to Ukraine until the country's leaders show a good commitment to peace."

Bloomberg adds that all US military equipment not currently in Ukraine will be banned from doing so, including weapons in transit and in warehouses in Poland./ Pamphlet
