Panic in the air! The plane flying from London is hit by turbulence, one dead and dozens injured

One passenger has been killed and more than 30 injured on a Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore after it was hit by severe turbulence.

The Singapore-bound Boeing 777-300ER landed at 15:45 local time in Bangkok.

The plane was carrying a total of 211 passengers and 18 crew members, the airline said in a statement.

"Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased," the statement said.
