European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, has reacted sharply to the decision of the Serbian Parliament to limit the independence of the judiciary. Kos called the move a step back in the country's European integration process.
In a post on the social network "X", Kos emphasized that the independence of the judiciary remains one of the main pillars of the rule of law and an essential criterion for rapprochement with the EU.
The vote of Serbia's Parliament to limit the independence of the judiciary is a serious step back on Serbia's EU path.
