Trump appears with marks on his neck after hand injury; doubts about the

US President Donald Trump appeared with red spots on the right side of his neck during a Medal of Honor ceremony at the White House, prompting comments in the media and social networks about his health condition.

According to White House physician Sean Barbabella, the president is using a common dermatological cream as a preventative skin treatment. “President Trump is using a very common cream on the right side of his neck, prescribed by the White House physician. The treatment will last for a week and the rash is expected to continue for several weeks,” he said.

During the ceremony, Trump, 79, also appeared with bleached or makeup-covered hands, and at one point appeared to slur his speech slightly while reading from a teleprompter. The administration has not commented on the episode, but has stressed that the president is continuing his activities as normal.

The White House has previously addressed questions about the bruises on the president's hands. Spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said they are related to constant irritation from frequent handshakes and aspirin use.

Trump was diagnosed several months ago with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that affects blood flow in the lower extremities. However, White House officials have insisted that there have been no changes to the president's lifestyle or work schedule.

" You see the president every day. He moves, he works. There has been no adjustment in his lifestyle ," Leavitt previously stated.
