The United States used B-1 strategic bombers in airstrikes against Iran as part of the operation codenamed "Epic Fury", the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed on Monday.
According to military analysts, the B-1s took off from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota and flew over the Atlantic and the Mediterranean before striking targets in Iranian territory. The mission was supported by aerial refueling tankers, enabling non-stop intercontinental flights.
