Washington yesterday published the list of 75 countries with which it has suspended the processing of immigration visas, including Albania.
Of course, the list includes some of the poorest, most corrupt, and most problematic countries on the planet.
But Venezuela is not included in the list.
Latin American media report that the decision not to include Venezuela on this list was made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The decision comes after a few weeks ago, US security forces arrested Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
The latter is being held in prison in the US and is expected to stand trial on serious charges related to drug and weapons trafficking.
Recall that Washington also accuses Maduro of having encouraged large immigration flows to the US with his misrule.
