US President warns of possible attacks on Iran. Tehran: "We are not afraid of war, we will fight"

A 14-point proposal and a one-month deadline for negotiations on an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, with the aim of ending the US blockade and the war in Iran and Lebanon. This is the initiative that Tehran is expected to present soon, according to Axios, which cites several sources. According to these sources, only after reaching an initial agreement would negotiations begin to find an agreement on the nuclear program.

US President Donald Trump said he was considering the proposal but expressed skepticism about the possibility of it leading to a deal. "I'll talk to you later," he said before boarding Air Force One.

Shortly after speaking to reporters, Trump posted a message on social media regarding the new proposal, stating that "I cannot imagine it being acceptable, given that they have not yet paid a high enough price for what they have done to humanity and the world over the last 47 years."

Donald Trump continues to not rule out the possibility of resuming military operations against Iran. "If they misbehave, if they do something wrong... we'll see. But it's a possibility that could happen," the US president said, answering questions from reporters in Florida.

The new Iranian proposal to end the conflict envisions an initial one-month period of negotiations to reach an agreement that would allow for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, an end to the US naval blockade, and a final cessation of hostilities in Iran and Lebanon, two informed sources told Axios.

According to them, only after reaching this first agreement would a second phase of negotiations begin, also lasting one month, with the aim of reaching an agreement on the nuclear program.

Iranian media had previously reported a structured 14-point response — through a Pakistani mediator — to a US proposal to end the war. While Washington had suggested a two-month ceasefire, Tehran aims for a full resolution within 30 days and insists on a full end to the conflict, not a temporary ceasefire.

According to Tasnim, the Iranian proposal includes security guarantees against future attacks, the withdrawal of US forces from surrounding areas, the lifting of maritime restrictions, the unblocking of frozen Iranian funds, compensation, the lifting of sanctions and a cessation of hostilities on all fronts. It also envisages the establishment of new rules for the Strait of Hormuz.

US President Donald Trump confirmed he is considering a new Iranian proposal to end the war, but reiterated his skepticism. "I'll talk to you later," he said before departing on Air Force One.

Then, in a reaction on social media, he stressed that "I cannot imagine that it is acceptable," reiterating that Iran has not paid a sufficient price for its actions over the past decades.
