The Israeli armed forces announced today that they are coordinating the transfer of incubators to the Gaza Strip, to allow the evacuation of newborns from the largest hospital in the Palestinian enclave.
The announcement was posted on social media along with a photo of a female soldier loading incubators into a van.
The aid comes after desperate calls from Al Shifa hospital for a sick newborn as Israeli ground forces surround Gaza and fuel for generators runs out.
While Bolivia, Chad, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Jordan, Turkey and South Africa have already withdrawn their diplomats after the "massacres" in Gaza. Israel's top diplomat, Eli Cohen, also said his ministry is concerned that 13 to 14 other countries may take similar positions.
According to the Jerusalem Post newspaper, Cohen told a press conference that Israel has only two or three weeks before it loses its diplomatic battle on the international stage to stop the war in Gaza.
However, he stressed that the Israeli military operation in Gaza will not stop until the Palestinian group Hamas is eliminated and the prisoners held in Gaza are released.
