Poland, in the context of the situation between Ukraine and Russia, has asked NATO to place American nuclear weapons on its territory, foreign media write. The Prime Minister of the Republic, Mateusz Moraëiecki, said that the NATO bloc should deploy American nuclear weapons on Polish territory as soon as possible.
"Due to the fact that Russia intends to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus, we increasingly ask NATO to participate in the Nuclear Sharing program. First of all, this should be the decision of our American partners, NATO partners. We announce that we want quick actions," said Mateusz Moraëiecki.
The Nuclear Sharing Agreements allow Washington to transfer its nuclear weapons to the air forces of NATO member states in the event of a military need.
