Russia will launch an armed uprising in Serbia to encourage Belgrade to invade Kosovo. The operation in Kosovo, meanwhile, is believed to be part of the preparation for a conflict in the Baltic, in Latvia. Mitrovica is a testing ground for a similar scenario in Latgale (Latvia), developed by Moscow in 2014.
Moscow sees the suspension of US military aid to Ukraine as an opportunity to break up NATO, should a controlled conflict arise. The EU's attempt to provide military aid to Ukraine has exposed a systematic lack of weapons and production capacity, which is likely to lead to a crisis if another conflict breaks out in Europe.
