The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, has said that the recognition of Kosovo's independence, membership in NATO and sanctions against Russia as part of the EU's common foreign and security policy are issues that have ended.
Milatovic told "RTV Slovenija", when he was asked to comment on Montenegro's relations with Serbia and Russia as well as the influence of the Serbian Orthodox Church, he said that former president Millo Djukanovic had brought the issue of the church into everyday politics.
Milatović said that politicians in Montenegro are now more focused on topics that are of fundamental importance to citizens, such as living conditions, the rule of law and European integration.
