Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, insisting that Iran did not start this war. Pezeshkian added during the call that Iran had the right to defend itself.
"Iran did not start this terrible war. Defense from invasion is a natural right, which we are good at," Pezeshkian said on social media.
He further emphasized that the use of American bases in the region to disrupt relations against Iran must be stopped.
"The use of American bases against Iran in the region, with the aim of damaging our relations with our neighbors, must stop ," he said.
Pezeshkian insisted that Iran will not surrender to the bullies, while calling on the global community to condemn this invasion.
"Talking about ending the war is meaningless until we are sure that there will be no more attacks on our land in the future ," Pezeshkian added.
