The Serbian lawyer, Cedomir Stojkovic, reacted to the protests that took place on Saturday, June 3 in Belgrade.
Stojkovic has said that he is protesting against the Serbian president, Aleksandar Vucic, who, according to him, has created an "anti-European country".
"I am protesting FOR THE VALUES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, which will enable my country to suppress violence and create a social atmosphere in which the killing of children will not be repeated, which EU values mean to we have normal television programs, democracy. , human rights, free elections, free media, economic stability, suppression of corruption, suppression of extremist organizations, punishment of thugs on the streets... etc. I am protesting AGAINST Aleksandar Vučić, who is the opposite of this, who created an anti-European country", wrote Stojković.
Stojkovic said that yesterday he did not protest for Kosovo or against the mayors of the municipalities, but that "anti-European figures" do not become normal in Serbia.
"And I do not protest for Kosovo, 'against Rio Tinto', for the replacement of some REM members with other members, and I do not allow you to force members of the anti-European 'Dver' to be speakers at the protest I am participating in. That was all yesterday!".
"I don't want to see how anti-European figures become a normal thing on our stage. Even the protest should not tolerate right-wing extremists and their choreography in our protest," Stojkovic emphasized.
According to him, a protest that is not based on European values is definitely a failure.
“You could have used the dead children for that value twist, and that's the only thing you can use them for! And not for what we see in the photos I personally took yesterday. That the protest was made on the basis of dead children and that the flag of Vladimir Putin, who drove hundreds of children to the grave with his missiles, and hundreds of thousands of people in the war he is leading, appears in that protest? That the protest takes place on the basis of dead children and in that protest the flag of "Serbian Kosovo" appears, which also represents cheering for war and murder? I will come to the next protest. With less enthusiasm. But if the protest organizers do not clearly announce at the next protest that an urgent return to European values is the only way to reduce violence, to achieve democracy and media freedom and that THERE IS NO PLACE IN EUROPEAN VALUES FOR: – VLADIMIR PUTIN, – RUSSIAN FLAGS, – AND ESPECIALLY THAT THE ARMED FORCE OF 1,700,000 ALBANIANS IN KOSOVO LIVE IN SERBIA against their will. It will be my last protest, because what are we changing if not our values? That they should be European! And not Asian," he concluded.
