Americans know why Trump doesn't want Epstein's full records revealed...
The Epstein files are incomplete. The question that arises is: what will the Republican Congress do about this?
"I voted to release the Epstein files and I congratulate President Trump for signing this bill and the Senate for its swift and unanimous passage. The American people deserve transparency and Epstein's victims deserve justice," Richard Hudson said in November 2025.
Hudson cheated by praising Trump after the passage and signing of Public Law 119-38, better known as the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
However, as is well known, President Trump was 100% against this bill. He repeatedly called it a "Democratic Hoax." Surprisingly, he also stated: "I don't understand why the Jeffrey Epstein case would be of interest to anyone. It's a pretty boring thing."
Americans know why Trump doesn't want Epstein's full records revealed.
It is clear to many Americans why Trump did not want the full details to be revealed. We have all seen many photos of Trump, Epstein and young women. In 2002, Trump stated the following about Epstein, one of his best friends: “I have known Jeffrey for 15 years. Great guy. He is a lot of fun to be with. They even say he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are younger. No doubt; Jeffrey likes his social life.”
Around the same time, in 2005, Trump was filmed making a statement that reveals how he treats women: "When you're a star, they let you do it. You can do anything" and "grab your vagina. You can do anything."
Why did Trump suddenly change his mind about the Epstein files?
Over time, it became clear that there were enough Republican congressmen and women of good moral character (including some on the right like Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene) who would defy the president and vote with the Democrats to pass the Epstein Files Transparency Act. So, literally overnight, Trump suddenly changed his mind and became fully in favor of passing it.
At the time, House Speaker Mike Johnson, a staunch Trump supporter, said: “We have a moral responsibility to expose the evil of Epstein and all those who were involved with him, and we are determined to do so.”
But then he immediately backed down, creating a huge vacuum, as he said the House of Representatives has a "moral responsibility to protect the innocent."
In other words, the president wanted Trump's highly politicized Justice Department to be able to choose who gets exposed for pedophilia... and who gets hidden from the public for political reasons.
Given his relationship with Jeffery Epstein and his documented belief that he could get away with abusing women, it was clear to me and other objective observers that Trump was never sincere in accepting the release of the full record.
I have stated this in many columns since then. It is clear that his politicized Justice Department would simply find excuses to redact embarrassing parts of the Epstein files that mentioned Trump.
Or, worse, he would invent an excuse to avoid releasing any files that mentioned him. And that is exactly what has happened because of Trump's blindly loyal followers in the Justice Department.
This time, I agree with Representative Hudson.
In conclusion, Representative Hudson once said: "The American people deserve transparency and Epstein's victims deserve justice... Now, we must continue to pressure the Department of Justice to deliver justice and accountability."
I agree with Representative Hudson. Now, it’s up to Hudson and his fellow Republicans, who control both the House and Senate, to stop playing MAGA politics and finally force the Justice Department to provide all the files, unredacted, so that guilty politicians and businessmen are not protected./ Adapted from “Pamphlet”, taken from “Fayetteville Observer”
