
Russian media quoted unnamed sources as saying that Prigozhin was buried today in a private ceremony, according to his family's wishes.
Photos from the Porokhovskoye cemetery showed Prigozhin's dark granite tombstone surrounded by an array of flowers, mostly red roses. He is believed to be buried next to his father.

In a statement on Telegram, the press service of Wagner's boss said: "The farewell to Yevgeny Viktorovich [Prigozhin] took place in a closed format. Those who want to say goodbye can visit the Porokhovskoye cemetery."
"Two flags stood nearby - a Russian tricolor flag and a black Wagner flag. What stood out was the fact that the Russian National Guard guarded the grave, preventing visitors from approaching.
