The Wagner group, after numerous threats, has officially declared war on military Russia, stating that it controls the army and the airport of this city.

So far Prigozhin says he controls the city of Rostov-on-Don, near the border with Ukraine, where residents have been told to stay inside.

The UK Ministry of Defense announces that Wagner Group troops are making their way north towards Moscow through the Voronezh region, which is the wider area around the city of Voronezh.

The city is about 300 miles (482 km) south of Moscow.

The head of the Wagner Group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has threatened to march on Moscow if the Russian defense minister does not meet with him.
