Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday described the latest Israeli-Palestinian war as the result of failed US foreign policy.
Speaking at the start of his talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Sudani, Putin said in his first comments on the war that "many will agree with me that this is a living example of the failure of US policies in the Middle East.”
" The US has tried to monopolize the solution, but, unfortunately, it has not tried to seek compromises that would be acceptable to both sides and, quite the opposite, has tried to implement their view of how it should be done. . putting pressure on both sides ," Putin said.
The Russian despot added that the US has failed to "take into account the vital interests of the Palestinian people" by ignoring UN General Assembly resolutions calling for the creation of an independent Palestinian state.
