Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin is interested in resolving the war in Ukraine through negotiations. He added that he expects direct cooperation from the United States.
"Putin, like Trump, remains interested and open to bringing the Ukrainian issue to a peaceful conclusion. We count on the United States and President Trump personally to engage and contribute to this process ," Peskov stressed.
However, he accused Europe of efforts aimed at prolonging the conflict. Peskov added that Europe is fueling the escalation of the war and, according to him, is encouraging Zelensky to attack.
"Unfortunately, on one side we have the Kiev regime and on the other, European countries that are doing everything they can to promote escalation. They are doing everything they can to prolong the war and encourage Zelensky to continue it," Peskov said.
