The balance of victims is heavy as a result of the catastrophic floods that have engulfed eastern and southern Spain.
The local authorities report so far that more than 140 people have lost their lives, a balance which is expected to increase as the hours pass.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, has called on citizens to stay at home, as teams continue to search for missing persons.
Earlier, the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, stated that there are "dead people in cars", referring to the hundreds of small vehicles and trucks stuck on the roads by the mud.
In a garage in Valencia according to local media, emergency teams found 9 dead bodies. It is not yet clear how many people are missing, but to help rescue efforts, as hundreds of soldiers are conducting checks in this area, one of the hardest hit by the natural disaster.
Some areas can only be reached by helicopter due to mud, debris and piled-up cars blocking the roads.
King Felipe VI of Spain warned earlier that the level of destruction in infrastructure is great, therefore, some communities have remained isolated and getting there is more difficult. Meanwhile local authorities have issued warnings about false information circulating online, including claims that Valencia's tap water is safe to drink.
