
After Ukraine's attack on Russian soil, the situation seems to be getting tense. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared that Russian forces have started a fire at a nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine.
Flames could be seen on the premises of the Zaporizhzhia plant, which has been occupied by Russian forces for most of the war, the Ukrainian president said.
In a statement on Platform X, he said radiation indicators were normal, while sharing a video purporting to show the fire, footage of which has yet to be verified.

A local official in the Ukrainian city of Nikopol said there were unofficial reports that Russian forces had set fire to numerous tires at the cooling towers. He called on residents to remain calm.
Russian authorities in charge of the plant said the fire had started near the plant's cooling towers and rescue teams were working to put it out.
