Russia has blacklisted 23 more British nationals and senior military officials, including Chief of Defense Staff Antony Radakin and Joint Intelligence Committee Chair Madeleine Alessandri, for pursuing anti-Russian policies and supporting what they call the "neo-Nazi regime" in Ukraine.
According to the announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, among the officials is Cressida Hogg, chief executive of the arms manufacturer 'BAE Systems'. Some researchers were also sanctioned because they were "involved in the collection and analysis of information about the war against Russia."
The Russian ministry said the sanctions were imposed in response to "London's anti-Russian course where the personal sanctions mechanism is actively implemented and comprehensive support is provided to the neo-Nazi regime in Kiev".
" We want to emphasize once again that the efforts of the British side to increase the pressure on sanctions against Russia will inevitably receive a decisive opposition from our side. Work on expanding the Russian ban list in response to London's actions will continue ," the ministry stressed.
