The Russian President, Vladimir Putin, during his speech at the International Economic Forum, said that he does not want Western companies that are and are leaving Russia to return to his country.
He added that the country is managing to cover its needs "more or less" and there were "somewhere around 90 thousand new business registrations.
" I don't think it's any secret that when I discuss things with Russian business, they emphasize the fact that Western firms should not be allowed to return. In all these international economic forums and meetings, my main request has been that Russian businesses should not allow Western companies to return ," he said.
Hinting at the impact of the sanctions, Putin said that instead of isolating Russia, it had secured better trading partners than those it had in the west.
" People said we would be isolated, on the contrary we have come out with much better relations in terms of our trading partners. Russia is not interested in developing relations with partners who support barbaric practices and who are politically motivated ," he added.
