Russia has put up for auction the apartment of the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, which is located in the annexed region of Crimea.
The news was announced by the head of the parliament of the occupied state, Vladimir Konstantinov. Along with the president's property, over 100 properties of some Ukrainian oligarchs have been put up for sale.
It is also reported that the proceeds from the sale of these properties will be used to finance special military operations in Ukraine. The 100-square-meter apartment of the Ukrainian leader's family is located in Livadia, a coastal town in the occupied Crimea region, and is owned by the president's wife, Olena Zelenska.
" In the near future, it is expected to sell about 100 nationalized properties. These include housing, healthcare facilities, resorts, commercial facilities and shops. From their sale, it is expected to reach a budget of over 800 million rubles in the budget of the republic ," writes Konstantinov on the Telegram channel.
The apartment of the Zelensky couple is expected to be sold at a value of 470 thousand dollars. Earlier, after the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, official Moscow suggested that "the destruction done in Donbas should be compensated using the wealth of Ukrainian officials in Russia" specifically, that the apartment of the Zelensky couple in Conquered Crimea to be confiscated.
